The BTM TalentMash is designed to connect Business Technology Management (BTM) students and recent graduates with employers from across the country, to create awareness about the BTM program, and to provide a forum for students to network and gain professional insight about employer expectations. Now in its seventh year, BTM TalentMash events have grown to take place in seven cities across Canada including Toronto, Montreal, Québec City, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg.
Over 500 students are graduating from BTM programs this year. For employers, the BTM TalentMash is an opportunity to connect with these students about your brand, latest job roles and placements, and to introduce a new generation to your organization through local and national competitions, skills sessions, a dynamic career fair and more!
Business Technology Management (BTM) was introduced in 2009 at the undergraduate level in response to feedback that new ICT graduates didn’t have the business acumen needed by today’s organizations. Working together with academic institutions, industry, and sector associations, ITAC Talent defined a set of learning outcomes and competency standards required by industry, drawing heavily on relevant international standards for similar programs. BTM has since impacted thousands of graduates and is now offered at 20 post-secondary institutions across Canada with applications rising by an average of 24% per year.
